CODIV 19 Operations Update 4/3/2020
The Community Development Department is conducting business and prioritizing essential tasks that include processing plans, permits or other approvals that maintain the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences and businesses. Work will continue on non-essential projects as staff time permits, with priority given to the essential projects described above.

Starting on April 1, 2020, CDD will accept new applications as outlined below:
- Environmental Health Permits can be submit via email or mailed to 2 South Green Street, Sonora, CA 95370.
- Land Use/Planning Permits can be submit via email or mailed to 2 South Green Street, Sonora, CA 95370.
- Building Permits can be submitted to CDD by making an appointment. To schedule an appointment please call 209-533-5637 or submit via email. Please see the website below for details on what kind of permits can be submitted online.
Environmental Health and building inspections that are deemed essential, following the guidance issued by the State of California, will continue as long as social distancing can be maintained and applicants on site do not exhibit signs of illness. Non-essential inspections will be handled as staff is able, following the above provisions.
