Emergency Preparedness

Tuolumne County Health Department administers the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program (PHEP), Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP), and the Pandemic Influenza Planning Program, which are funded by grants from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), and the State of California.

The Emergency Preparedness programs coordinate planning and preparation to develop and maintain our community's capability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from health and medical emergencies. This is a collaborative effort with:
  • The Public Health Department
  • Other county departments
  • Local healthcare facilities, agencies, & groups that serve the people of Tuolumne County

Preparation

A Healthcare and Safety Coalition meets every other month, and as needed. Drills and exercises are held periodically to test and improve local response plans and skills. Click on the link in left sidebar for more information.
