Clean Up Day Coupon Program
The Clean Up Day Coupon Program is intended to reduce illegal disposal of hard-to-handle wastes. Residents have the opportunity to dispose of, at no charge, large appliances, old furniture, tires, dishwashers, clothes washers and dryers, water heaters, couches, mattresses, old patio furniture, car parts, and other junk items that will not fit in a standard garbage can. Hard-to-handle waste is classified as non-hazardous solid waste that will not fit into a standard 35, 65, or 95 gallon trash can or cart. A cubic yard is the amount of waste that measures 3' x 3' x 3'.
Tuolumne County residents in good standing with one of the three solid waste collection companies, or self haulers with four receipts from a previous 12 month period from one of the county's three transfer stations, are eligible for the program.
