On Thursday, June 19, 2025 and Saturday, June 28, 2025, the Tuolumne County Public Works Department, Solid Waste Division, in co-operation with Cal Sierra Disposal and Wise Woodworks, Inc. will host Free Green Waste Disposal days for Tuolumne County residents. The events will be held at two locations; Cal Sierra Earth Resource Facility located at 14909 Camage Avenue from 8:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. (Closed 11:45 - 12:30 for lunch) and the Plainview Slash Site located at Highway 108 / Plainview Drive in Twain Harte from 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.

These events give Tuolumne County residents an opportunity to clear their property of hazardous vegetation. Participants will be required to show an ID or a utility bill verifying residency. A copy of this verification may be given to another individual hauling green waste on the resident’s behalf. Sorry, contractors and commercial businesses are excluded from participation.

The quantity of green waste is limited to a maximum of 5 cubic yards per load. Acceptable green waste items include vegetation, garden waste, pine needles, pinecones, bark, lawn trimmings, small trees, brush, limbs and woody material. Unacceptable items include non-vegetative material, garbage, glass, metal, business/contractor green waste, food waste, tree stumps and palm trees.
