[ARCHIVED] Report Challenges Obtaining and/or Maintaining Affordable Homeowners Insurance

Over the past few years, the County has heard an increase in complaints from the public regarding the difficulty in obtaining and maintaining affordable homeowners insurance due to fire loss concerns by insurance companies. At the direction of the Board of Supervisors, the County is conducting an outreach to try and understand what is happening in our community with regard to homeowners insurance. In order to do so, we need specific, detailed information from those who have experienced problems obtaining and/or maintaining affordable homeowners insurance. Second hand reports or opinions are not what is needed for presentation to those who could help in this matter. We need specific, detailed information from those impacted. To that end, those experiencing such insurance challenges are asked to complete and return the form
