Over the past few years, the County has heard an increase in complaints from Tuolumne County residents regarding the difficulty in obtaining and maintaining affordable homeowners insurance. At the direction of the Board of Supervisors, the County is conducting outreach to try and understand what is happening. In order to do so, we need specific, detailed information from those who have experienced problems obtaining and/or maintaining affordable homeowners insurance. Second hand reports or opinions are not what is needed for presentation to those who could help in this matter. To that end, those experiencing such insurance challenges are asked to complete and return the form.

to gather data from on the affordability and availability problems in areas of the state that are experiencing a high volume of rate hikes and non-renewals
