The work to be done consists, in general, of retrofitting regulatory and warning signs to meet new federal regulations on minimum reflectivity requirements that have been imposed by FHWA via revision 2 of the 2003 Edition of the federal MUTCD, effective January 22, 2008. Existing signs will be refurbished and recycled by re-sheeting with retroreflective sheeting. Signs that are too damaged for re-sheeting will be salvaged and replaced with new signs. Bid books are available for purchase for $25. Forms from a purchased bid book must be used when submitting proposal documents.
