The Constitution of the United States is the document that protects our God given rights to Freedom and Happiness. Everyone who works for the Government (which means works for the people) must swear an Oath to the Constitution. It would be nice if all those employees had some idea of what it is they are swearing to defend I would like to see 4 hours of Constitutional training for every employee every 2 years on the anniversary of their hire date. As President of TCFACTS (Following America's Constitution in Today's Society, Tuolumne County) I am just the guy to see that is gets done. We would provide the training at no cost to the county. The training would include historical as well as contemporary lessons on how the Constitution was created to protect all citizens of our Republic. I can be reached at dave@nerdoboy.com - David Titchenal

With the current drought alert in Tuolumne County I am curious to know what people are doing at home and work to conserve water usage.

We travel to T/C quite often, for shopping, entertainment,
family visits. We come up La Grange Rd. Which you Repaved not long ago. The problem is when you did the repaving you did away with the Passing Area's! Before we had safe passing lanes to get around slow moving Veh. Now we are stuck behind them from Stan. co. line to Hwy108. Now people are passing illegally any where they can. This is not Safe! I do not want to hear it was for safety, because that hasn't happened. Hopefully you can fix this problem? Thank you. Ron.

A lot of communities overlook this very important quality of life topic. I moved here from a large urban center where we could NEVER see the night sky. Tuolumne County USED to have very clear night skies. As more developments have gone in, we now see the "glow." Let's encourage developers to use hooded lights and low-illumination lights to keep the light facing downward and dim. Then you'll be able to look up and see STARS!!!!
