What is the Waste Tire Manifest System?: Each transfer of waste/used tires must be documented on CalRecycle’s waste tire manifest and trip log. The original must be submitted to CalRecycle within 14 days and file copies must be maintained for 3 years.

1. Can I haul waste and used tires?: You may legally haul up to 9 waste or used tires to an approved facility. If hauling 10 or more waste or used tires, you must register your vehicle with CalRecycle. During transportation you are required to carry the registration certificate and display the decal in the lower right corner of the windshield.

4. Can I haul waste tires from a clean-up project site?: Contact the Tuolumne County Local Enforcement Agency (Community Resources Agency, Environmental Health Division) at 209-533-5692 for written authorization for exemption from waste tire hauling requirements.
