Ms. Klem joined the Tuolumne County Office of the County Counsel as a Deputy County Counsel in 2022. Her primary focus is the County’s Master Stewardship Agreement with Stanislaus National Forest; she advises county staff on creating and implementing the contracts necessary to perform massive fuel break, fuel reduction, and forest thinning work in the local national forest in order to improve forest health and protect the local community. She also represents a variety of other general fund departments, including Agriculture/Sealer/Weights and Measures, Animal Control, Air Pollution, Assessor/Recorder, Environmental Health, Library/Recreation, Treasurer/Tax Collector, and the Veterans Service Office.
Ms. Klem graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Dallas with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Concentration in American Politics in 2017. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Notre Dame Law School, where she served as a staff (2019-2020) and articles (2020-2021) editor for the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy. She graduated Cum Laude in 2021.
