Read-a-loud at the Library
Hey kids! Wanna get happy.
Tuolumne County Public Library is offering Read-a-loud at the Library on Access Tuolumne
Check the Access Tuolumne schedule to find out the date and time for each program. This program is sponsored by the Tuolumne County Friends of the Library.

This week's episode has stories about birds. If you want to make the craft, we used Play-Doh, sticks, moss, and feathers.

Tuolumne County Library Re-opens Tuolumne City and
Twain Harte Branches


Tuolumne County Public Library is excited to announce the re-opening of Tuolumne City and Twain Harte Branches beginning March 30, 2021.  Twain Harte Branch will be open on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 6 PM. Tuolumne City Branch will operate Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
COVID-19 protocols will be in place for our staff and visitors safety. All visitors must wear masks or other face coverings at all times while in the library and sanitize their hands upon entering the buildings. There will be a limit of 5 patrons at a time in the library at each branch. Each visit will be limited to 30 minutes and 6 feet Social Distancing will be enforced throughout the libraries. Patrons will have access to computers, be able to browse all library materials, and select their items to checkout. 

Returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours before being checked back in and shelved by library staff. Please feel free to contact the library at (209) 533-5507 if you have questions. 

Tuolumne County Public Library is asking our wonderful community to please refrain from dropping off materials they wish to donate to the library. We do NOT have the staff needed to properly sanitize and sort these items. Thank you so much for your consideration and understanding during this COVID-19 health crisis.

Library Services for People with Print Disabilities


California’s Library Services for People with Print Disabilities, in association with the Library of Congress, provides free Braille and audio books, magazines and playback equipment to all eligible Californians unable to read standard print. Follow the link to find your local braille and talking book library and sign up for free library service.


E-Books
We offer e-books for checkout. Using your library card and PIN, you can download e-book titles on your computer, e-book reader, or mobile device through our OverDrive Digital Media Catalog. This service is available for your device at home or though our Wi-Fi connection at the library. Please note that the library's public access computers cannot be used for this service.
