Committee On Aging

Purpose Statement
The Committee on Aging is an informed voice in the community, to advise the Board of Supervisors, support, and advocate on any or all matters affecting the aging in Tuolumne County. The activities of the COA can involve planning, special studies, promotion and advocacy.

Membership Requirements
Board of Supervisor (1) ex-officio representative
No more than twenty (20) members
To ensure all Tuolumne County Supervisorial districts are represented within the COA membership, each County Supervisor is allowed to appoint, from his or her Supervisorial district, one individual member to the COA.
A majority of the members shall be “seniors”.

Operations
As a Policy Advisory Committee, the operations of the Committee on Aging are guided by the Tuolumne County Governing Bodies Handbook - 2023. The Policy Advisory Committee Guidelines can be found here.

Regular Meeting Dates
This committee's regular meeting is the second Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. Due to COVID-19, committee meetings have been moved to an online platform. The URL and call-in number can be found on the posted agenda for each meeting.
