[ARCHIVED] No Charges Will Be Filed Related to May 26, 2020 Fatal Shooting of Richard Councilman

Sonora, CA - Tuolumne County District Attorney Cassandra Jenecke announces today that no charges will be filed against the deputies involved in the officer-involved shooting of Richard Martin Councilman, Jr., on May 26, 2020, in Jamestown, California. This decision was made after a thorough review of all the relevant evidence gathered during the investigation and careful consideration of applicable law.
