The Tuolumne County District Attorney Victim/Witness Program would like to introduce the newest member of the team, Ann. She is a 2 year old petite black Labrador Retriever that will be providing an additional layer of support for victims of crime in our community. She is a graduate from the National Education for Assistance Dog Services (NEADS), an accredited service dog organization. Ann has two years of training and has passed the same public-access test that is used to insure that guide dogs for the blind are safe to work in public. As service animals, Court Support Dogs provide a quiet sense of calm, security, and non-judgmental support to reporting or testifying victims during lengthy investigative and legal proceedings.
